Micah Rochester
Born in Pineville, NC, in 1992, and raised in Blacksburg, SC, Micah began his musical journey at the age of five. His first instrument was the mandolin, and later he began playing the guitar and upright bass as well as other instruments.
Micah first played on stage with the Brent Rochester Family bluegrass gospel group at the young age of seven. Being homeschooled, he was able to progress quickly with his music, and soon after graduation from high school, he began giving private lessons.
Micah is a composer, and one of his many jobs here at TGW is creating the tablature and chord charts that accompany our video lessons. As a co-founder of thegospelworkshop.com, Micah is excited about his opportunity to teach the best music on earth--gospel.
One of Micah’s favorite passages is: Psalm 100:1-2 “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.”
